Grouping Lists

Problem solved: Lets users slice and dice information presented in lists.

Description: Watch this video first to get an understanding of how to make lists can be grouped, filtered, or sorted for quick access to the information needed. After watching, there is more information below the video to provide a more detailed explanation of this feature on the Jetty platform.

Presenting information in lists is a key feature of Jetty. The premise is to let users present this information in various ways depending on what point of view the user needs. Therefore, all list can be sorted, filtered, and grouped. Some lists are grouped as default, while others are ungrouped, or straight.

A big list (a list displayed on it’s own page), such as the booking list, can be grouped by expanding the Group by button.

It will let user create up to three groups in the list. The arrows to the left of the columns let the user sort the groups.

For internal lists, the ‘Group by’ functionality is found under the filter button in the block’s top menu.
